Still don't know why people have this argument. The oem oil sending unit is very analog. It moves in sweeps. As in just giving you a general idea of pressure it will never be dead accurate. Yes they are prone to failure because of engine vibration and diaphram sensor style. I took out the oem sender and put in an autometer sender. Almost identical in design to the oem but much more accurate on the gauge side. Try it with a known good autometer gauge if you truly worry about this issue but as long as the z has oil pressure and it fluctuated from high pressure to low that means your oil pump IS working fine. This has been argued a million times I promise. Just try a search.
